Jon Horne

Bass, Vocals

The former bass player from Rapid Transit, Jon brings his extensive Roots Reggae background to the MC Vibes grooves. He is a multi-instrumentalist, recording his own music under his name on the side. Jon has spent time traveling across the States, spreading his love of music where he goes. His biggest influences include Phil Lesh (The Grateful Dead), Rob Dehrak (moe.), Aston “Family Man” Barrett (The Wailers), Kyle McDonald (Slightly Stoopid), Les Claypool (Primus), & Victor Wooten. This spread, along with his self-taught learning of music, is showcased in his playing and writing style. Jon also is the owner of a tie-dye shirt and apparel company as an extension of his one-love of art. Jon jams on an Ibanez GSR200 4 string and a GSR206 6 string ran into a pedal chain, through a Genz-Benz Shuttle 6.0 and SWR cab

Greg Nicozisis

Drums, Vocals

Greg’s background in many genres of music adds distinct elements to the overall MC Vibes jam. Influenced at a young age by none other than the professor himself, Neil Peart, Greg brings some old-school chops to the band in combination with his California Roots-Reggae influences from Zeb (Tribal Seeds) and Wes (Rebelution) over the last ten years. Greg has played in numerous bands over the years on large stadium stages and is the former drummer of MODOC, one of the countries premier southern rock tribute bands with the fortunate experience to tour with bands such as the Allman Brothers, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Molly Hatchet and Blackfoot. His love for the Cali-Roots Reggae sound is as great as the love for bands like Rush from early in his career. Greg jams on Tama cherry-fade Star Classic, DW legend series and Sonar Force3001 drum kits with Sabian AAX cymbals and DW 5000 double-bass drum pedals.
